I woke up weeping
Wishing I could stay sleeping
My heart deeply troubled
I cried out to God
My body tense from the grips of despair
Pleading with the Father for his will, his mind to be given to me
I sought the Lord and he heard me and delivered me out of all my fears.
Weeping in the arms of my Father, placing His truth before my eyes.
Reciting his promise over and over and over again.
For He is near to the brokenhearted, and saves the crushed in spirit. And under His wing, I will find refuge. Looking to Him, my face became radiant, and I was not ashamed.
In the morning when I woke, He put a song within my heart and onto my lips.
For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.
We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;
The Eternal is full of compassion. Not forsaking His beloved.
Many are the afflictions of the Righteous, but the Lord delivers her out of all their troubles.
