Life Loving Jesus

“This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by BELIEVING in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life. God didn’t go to all the trouble of sending his Son merely to point an accusing finger, telling the world how bad it was. He came to help, to put the world right again. Anyone who trusts in him is acquitted; anyone who refuses to trust him has long since been under the death sentence without knowing it. And why? Because of that person’s failure to believe in the one-of-a-kind Son of God when introduced to him.
“This is the crisis we’re in: God’s light streamed into the world, but men and women everywhere ran for the darkness. They went for the darkness because they were not really interested in pleasing God. Everyone who makes a practice of doing evil, addicted to denial and illusion, hates God’s light and won’t come near it, fearing a painful exposure. But anyone working and living in truth and reality welcomes God’s light so the work can be seen for the God-work it is.” (John 3:16-21)
The message of truth is so simple! By opening our hearts to BELIEVING in God, we allow the power of the Holy Spirit to begin to work in our lives; our 21st century messed up lives. And because Jesus loves us, because of His mercy and grace, we are given a second chance. Not only a second chance, but a third, a fourth… UNLIMITED chances to come to Him. He promises to never stop loving us, to never change his mind.
Today, in this moment, we have an opportunity to believe. We dont have to know anything about the Bible or God to believe. There are many people who have studied the Bible and history and still do not believe. But this is the defining trait of FAITH. Believing without seeing. If we trust that Jesus is who He says He is, if we really truly believe it, then we will want to find out more about him. The moment we start believing, God starts working in our lives- behind the scenes to ensure that we will find the answers we need.
Friends, stop living in darkness. What do you really have to hide? Jesus knows EVERYTHING about you, and He loves you just the way you are. He wants to show us better lives; He wants us to be happier! Anyone who tells you otherwise is a messenger of Satan.
Satan wants us to be miserable, depressed, sad, lonely, confused, misguided.
NOT THE GOD I SERVE.
My God is LOVE.
He gives me peace.
Joy.
He reminds me every day that I am not alone.
He answers my prayers.
He is working in my life, not because I say I believe, but because I actually do.
Turn your heart to Jesus today, He wants to give you everything good in this life, and the next. All you have to do is BELIEVE.
